  • Group or Centre Based Activities

Group or Centre-Based Activities are designed to assist and encourage participants to join in community, social, and recreational activities with a group. The goal is to foster an inclusive and stimulating environment in which participants are free to meet new people, make new friends, participate in activities, and learn new skills, all while socializing and having fun. Group and center-based activities provide a chance for NDIS participants to increase their social involvement. This has a significant impact on their personal well-being and career growth. This service helps people with physical, intellectual, and sensory disabilities to enjoy a good time with others. Moreover, the skills they learn from community participation help to build a career as well.

Group/Centre Activities help participants develop critical skills like handling money, planning and organizing activities, using computers, and resume building. These activities are especially designed to increase confidence and develop interpersonal skills in a safe and supportive environment. These activities also help for the enjoyment and skill development of individuals with disabilities.

These activities help to:

  1. Improve psychological health.
  2. Improve overall health and well-being.
  3. Create skills and passion for new things.
  4. Improve emotional sense and create positive changes in mental health.

  8. Develop natural friendships and peer networks.
  9. Develop a sense of belonging and enhance self-esteem.

  11. Become more interactive with society.

A broad range of group-based activities and programs are available to participants, including but not limited to:

  1. Attending self-development and skill learning courses.

  3. Joining recreational activities.

At Affection Disability Care, we help our valuable clients by organizing or connecting them to a range of activities and programs designed to assist them in leading a happy life. Social inclusion and interaction programs are particularly designed to meet an individual’s needs and to assist them in finding their “special place” in life, where they feel valued and comfortable within their surroundings. We offer a variety of activities to ensure that there are opportunities for all participants to engage in what they enjoy most. We understand that we all have diverse interests, for that reason, we create specialized activities for selected groups of participants.

Affection Disability Care is partnered with organizations that provide center-based activities and groups to promote socialization. These center-based activities are facilitated by support workers and include self-directed skill-building activities. Participants are welcome to undertake activities independently within the space, participate in facilitated workshops, or a combination of both. We at Affection Disability Care believe that true assistance is one that meets you where you are!

Our experienced caregivers, at the initial visit, will invest a good amount of time to access your NDIS plan and its parameters to provide you with a service that matches you in all aspects.
